India Dominates Taipei Archery Open with Parneet Kaur and Prathamesh Jawkar Winning Gold Medals

India’s archers stormed the Taipei Archery Open 2023, held in Taoyuan City, Chinese Taipei, from December 8 to 10, claiming both the women’s and men’s compound gold medals. Parneet Kaur emerged victorious in the women’s competition, edging out her teammate and reigning Asian Games champion Jyothi Surekha Vennam in a thrilling 146-145 final. Meanwhile, Prathamesh Jawkar secured the men’s gold, solidifying India’s dominance in the compound division.

While the Indian recurve archers in the senior events did not make the podium, Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Aman Saini added to India’s medal haul with impressive performances in the individual compound events. Vennam secured silver in the women’s competition, while Saini clinched bronze in the men’s category.
