The American Telugu Association (ATA), a non-profit organization dedicated to the Telugu community in the United States, announced a 20-day service program in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The program will focus on education, healthcare, and business initiatives.
ATA Chairman and President-elect Jayamth Chowdary called on all Telugus to support the program. “This is a great opportunity for us to give back to our roots,” he said. “By supporting these initiatives, we can help to improve the lives of Telugus in India.”
The program will begin on December 10, 2023, and end on January 9, 2024. It will include a variety of activities, such as:
- Building schools and libraries
- Providing medical care to underserved communities
- Supporting small businesses
